Small working farm offering a variety of services!

 Maple Ridge Farm is a premier private facility located in northwest Goldsboro (Rosewood), North Carolina, in Wayne County; owned and operated by Nathan & Laura Smith.  MRF was originally established in 2002 in Johnston County, moved to Wayne County in 2017, and continues to grow and expand. We offer veterinary services (through MRMVS), MagnaWave PEMF, timothy/orchard hay sales, USDA beef and pork, eggs, chickens, Mini Aussie puppies, and Mini Aussie standing at stud (MR He's A Rowdy Alvin).

Laura Smith has been in the equine industry for over 25 years, from riding and showing hunter/jumpers to jumping into reining and other western events. She has trained and shown with numerous respected and world-renown trainers in the horse industry. Laura graduated valedictorian of NC State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Poultry Science, and is a Class of 2016 Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from NC State’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Laura owns and operates Maple Ridge Mobile Veterinary Services PLLC, a mobile equine veterinary practice, with her husband, Nathan. 

Nathan Smith is a 2008 graduate from Wingate University with a Bachelor of Marketing. He formerly worked for Stanley Black & Decker in outside sales, before starting full-time with MRF and MRMVS in 2016, and adding Maple Ridge Outfitters in 2021. Nate is an integral part of our farm and veterinary business management. He is also the mastermind behind keeping our farm looking its best!
